BridgeClearance.com is a free, searchable database of vertical bridge clearances across the United States. We index 153,733 bridges with clearance data from the Federal Highway Administration's National Bridge Inventory (NBI), making it easy for truckers, fleet dispatchers, RV drivers, and moving truck renters to find clearance information for any route.
Our data comes directly from the FHWA's 2025 National Bridge Inventory, a public-domain dataset maintained by the U.S. Department of Transportation. The NBI contains records for over 624,000 bridges nationwide. We present the subset of bridges that have recorded vertical clearance measurements.
Important: Always verify clearance at the bridge itself. Conditions change — road resurfacing can reduce clearance, signs may show different values, and seasonal factors matter. This database is a planning tool, not a substitute for reading the signs on the road.
